Governance

Nations and Regions Board

The Nations and Regions Board is delegated the following responsibilities and powers by the Council of the Institute:

  • the development of the Nations, Regions and Branches strategy - working with other Boards of Council as appropriate - and the recommendation of strategy and budgets to Council for their consideration and agreement.
  • the development of policy in areas directly relevant to Nations, Regions and Branches - working with other Boards of Council as appropriate - and the recommendation of policy to Council for the consideration and agreement.
  • monitoring the programme of activities in the Nations, Regions and Branches to achieve the goals and strategy agreed by Council, working with other Boards of the Council as appropriate.
  • reporting to Council on progress in delivering on the Strategy.
  • assist the Directors and Managers of the Institute in the delivery of the Nations, Regions and Branches programme.
  • governance of the programme of activities and budgets in Nations, Regions and Branches as requested by Council.
  • co-option of additional members of the Board.
  • any other specific delegated powers agreed by Council
